The Right Advisor

It is more likely than ever at the moment in, well let’s call them ‘interesting’ times that you need not just good advice but great advice from a top class reliable advisor. The question is how to select such a rare and valuable commodity. When we embark on the process of finding our soul mate even contemplating marriage, for such a precious long term commitment most people would go through at least a dating period followed by the honeymoon and hopefully many happy years together. Of course many such matches end in divorce but hopefully there have been some happy positives and valuable times in the intervening period.

When seeking a new advisor is it entirely probable that a similar scenario will be the state of play. If we regard dating as a little like a beauty parade where you, the prospective clients, should use the opportunity to get to know just what your advisor can offer you, who will be your main point of contact, who else is on the team, and what ancillary services do they offer that perhaps you don’t need at this moment but could possible apply at a later stage.
